Budd, Felix Septimus - who has resided in Newport for practically all his business life - is a director of Messrs. Budd & Co. Ltd., coal exporters and pitwood importers, and is also a partner in the firm of Messrs. Budd & Co., colliery proprietors, of Newport and Cardiff, and has long been intimately associated with the coal, pitwood and other important branches of the staple export and import trades of the port. The colliery undertakings with which he is identified are situated in this county, attention being specially devoted to trade with France and Spain. His connection with the Newport Chamber of Commerce has been of many years' standing, and, after serving as a member of its Council, his wide commercial experience and undoubted business qualifications were further recognised by his unanimous election as president of the Chamber for the year 1915. From 1916 to 1919 was a member of the Newport Corporation, sitting as one of the councillors in representation of the Tredegar Ward. Is a justice of the peace for the County Borough of Newport.
